Little Big Adventure follows Twinsen, a resident of Twinsun, as he escapes imprisonment by the tyrant Dr. Funfrock in an effort to end a planetary dictatorship.
The game uses four behavior modes—Normal, Athletic, Aggressive, and Discreet—to adjust movement and combat around different environmental dangers. This system also shapes how players interact with NPCs and move through the world.
Players explore a range of islands and solve environmental puzzles along the way. Little Big Adventure presents its world from an isometric viewpoint, combining 3D character models with pre-rendered backgrounds.
