About "Medievil"
Medievil puts players in control of the clumsy undead knight Sir Daniel Fortesque, who is driven by a chance at redemption as he works to stop the sorcerer Zarok's assault on Gallowmere. The main goal is to journey through eerie gothic settings and bring down a growing undead army.
The combat is built around a mix of melee and ranged weapons, such as swords, crossbows, and throwing axes. Medievil also requires careful management of resources, since weapons can wear out or depend on specific ammunition throughout the game's twenty-two separate stages.
Progression depends on gathering Chalices of Souls, which unlock power-ups in the Hall of Heroes after combat trials are completed. The game world emphasizes platforming, avoiding traps, and simple item-based puzzle solving.
