This installment adds more than 150 distinct Robopons. With modular parts, players can customize them in depth, changing robot stats and elemental affinities to improve performance in turn-based battles.
Robopon 2: Ring Version uses grid-based movement and careful energy management. Players explore from an overhead perspective, which supports talking with NPCs and searching the environment.
The cartridge also included a built-in infrared sensor, allowing wireless data exchange and multiplayer battles between consoles without needing the usual GBA link cable.
