In Soma Bringer, players join the Pharzuph division to defend the world of Barnea against strange beings called Visitors. The story centers on a team of soldiers as they investigate the true source of the forces behind the invasion.
The game offers six separate character classes, and each one comes with its own skill trees and distinct approach to play. Players can tailor their equipment, assign ability points, and use a range of weapons and armor dropped by fallen enemies to improve their effectiveness in battle.
Soma Bringer uses real-time action combat built around smooth movement and careful timing of special abilities. It also includes local cooperative multiplayer for up to three players, letting them work through demanding dungeons and boss fights together.
Created by Monolith Soft, Soma Bringer makes use of the Nintendo DS hardware to present detailed isometric environments. The soundtrack was composed by Yasunori Mitsuda, and it stands out as one of the game’s strongest production elements.
